Biography
Yulia Gerasimova obtained her PhD in Bioorganic Chemistry from the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences in 2009. After postdoctoral training in Dmitry Kolpashchikov’s group, she joined the University of Central Florida faculty in 2016.
Currently, Yulia is an Associate Professor of Chemistry at UCF. She is a recipient of a fellowship from The American Association of University Women (AAUW) and a research incentive award from UCF. Her research interests are designing multifunctional hybridization probes and DNA machines for biosensing and molecular computation.
